New Testament Leadership Kings Crossing church of Christ is self-ruled and independent of every other congregation. The only tie which binds us to the many other congregations is our fervent allegiance to Christ and the Bible.	"1 Peter 5:5 "Likewise you that are younger be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Our congregation is governed locally by a plurality of elders selected from among our members. These are men who meet specific Biblical qualifications for this office. Kings Crossing church of Christ currently has these elders: Ron Cardwell, Bob Hughes, Robert Illgen, Jack North, John Poynter,Tom Reed, Larry Reynolds, and John Springer. ______________ There are also deacons in each congregation. These men must also meet Biblical qualifications. Kings Crossing church of Christ currently has the following deacons: Mike Bergsma, Stacy Blair, Frank Capo, Sr., Frank Degollado, Jon Finley, Mike Fox, Craig Glasson, Patrick Grona, Ridge Hammons, Dennis Hatch, Cal Jennings, Jonathan Kolb, Willie Kosarek, Heath McCartney, Don Murphey, and Kevin Stafford. ______________ Ministers are supported by the congregation as the Apostle Paul was once supported. Our pulpit minister is Mark Pugh. Our prison minister is Buck Griffith. Our youth minister is Nathan Hill. . . ______________ A support staff is also employed including Kathy Jacobs, Tara Glasson, and Mary Calloway. . .

The saying is sure: whoever aspires to the office of elder desires a noble task. Now a elder must be above reproach, married only once, temperate, sensible, respectable, hospitable, an apt teacher, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, and not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, keeping his children submissive and respectful in every way— for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how can he take care of God's church? He must not be a recent convert, or he may be puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace and the snare of the devil.
